Oregon Pride in Business (ORPIB) is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the Program Committee in expanding, improving and innovating current and future Oregon Pride in Business programming across Oregon and SW Washington. This person will help to ensure that all programs are mission-driven, strategic, scalable and executed within budget. The Program Committee  Chair will contribute to Oregon Pride in Business’ overall success by helping to shape member benefits and increase member engagement. 

What is ORPIB?

Oregon Pride in Business champions economic empowerment for LGBTQ+ businesses and communities throughout Oregon and SW Washington.

We create opportunities for marketing, networking, procurement, and referral-based business growth, programs that support development of business skills and expertise through workshops and seminars, and we advocate for positive economic, social, and political change.

We envision an economically empowered Oregon LGBTQ+ business community that inspires others. We empower our small business entrepreneurs and professionals, collaborate with nonprofit advocates, and engage with business and civic leaders to support policies that foster a more inclusive and welcoming business community.

Key Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with Program Coordinators, help shape the overall vision and strategy for all programs in alignment with ORPIB’s strategic plans and the needs of its members, including the development and implementation of new programmatic areas. 
  • Support the Program Coordinator in managing, executing, and tracking success for their individual programs. 
  • Ensure coordination and integration of all program activities (including coordination of activities outside the Programs Committee - i.e., communications, events, etc.)
  • Develop program success measures and evaluate progress toward goals and adjust strategies as needed. 
  • Ensure all programs are accessible and scalable across Oregon and SW Washington. 
  • Coordinate with the Membership Committee and track member engagement scores to inform the Programs Committee’s strategic plans. 
  • Develop and manage a Board approved Programs Committee budget. 

Recommended qualifications & skills

  • The ability to align and integrate projects, resources, stakeholders, and risks that are involved in ORPIB’s programs. 
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work on multiple, concurrent projects with competing priorities. 
  • The ability to think strategically while also executing on tactical plans. 
  • Proficient in collecting and analyzing data to inform strategies, goals and success measures. 
  • Ability to effectively support & oversee a small team of committee chairs and volunteers.
  • Comfort delegating tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong collaboration and team building skills. 
  • Solution oriented, with the ability to solve problems with adaptability and resilience. 
  • Knowledge of, and experience, working with the LGBTQ+ community 
  • Non-profit and/or public administration knowledge and/or experience preferred, but not required
