Oregon Pride in Business (ORPIB) is seeking one dedicated community member to serve as our Mentorship Program Specialist.

This person will be onsite at Mentorship Program sessions to host program participants (emerging business owners and mentorship session leads alike) by preparing the meeting space, handling lunch ordering and receiving, and representing ORPIB to program participants with regards to our Community Conduct Agreement, community building in the cohort, and receiving and reporting on ongoing participant feedback.

An ideal candidate for this role is interested in engaging with small groups to provide general guidance and support. This skillset is transferable to roles like events specialist, facilitators, and other facilities-related roles.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare space for in person events
  • Order and deliver food to program participants
  • Communicate with participants & session leads for all location or food specific items
  • Provide an introduction between program participants and session leads for each session
  • Convey standards of conduct & program expectations
  • Attend weekly one hour meeting with team 
  • Provide general feedback and transparency for the other program volunteers

Location:  Virtual meetings and in-person program sessions in Portland, Oregon

Time Commitment: While the cohort is out of session, commitment is one hour a week for team meetings.

While the cohort is in session, a specialist is needed at each five hour-session once a week. (approx 6 consecutive weeks. Plus an estimated <1 per week for communications).

Supervisory Responsibility: This position reports to the Volunteer Coordinator and the Mentorship Program Chair
