Oregon Pride in Business (ORPIB) is seeking a creative, organized communications professional to become our Communications Ops Chair. This person will manage communications projects that increase awareness, drive membership purchases, and engage ORPIB community members. This position is an excellent fit for someone who would like to gain experience in multi-channel media management and campaign execution, as well as advancing as a thought leader in communications within the LGBTQ+ business community in Oregon and SW Washington.

What is ORPIB?

ORPIB champions opportunity, development, and advocacy for Oregon’s LGBTQ+ & Allied business community.

We create opportunities for marketing, networking, procurement, and referral-based business growth, programs that support development of business skills and expertise through workshops and seminars, and we advocate for positive economic, social, and political change.

We envision an economically empowered Oregon LGBTQ+ business community that inspires others. We empower our small business entrepreneurs and professionals, collaborate with nonprofit advocates, and engage with business and civic leaders to support policies that foster a more inclusive and welcoming business community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a running calendar for emails, social media and other important campaign materials. 
  • Project manage communications committee via Growthzone’s project management software and 2x a month meetings.
  • Review final campaign materials and implementation for approval prior to launch
  • Track effectiveness of campaigns via monthly KPI reporting. 

Qualifications & skill requirements

  • 2+ years experience in media management, project management or other relevant communications field. 
  • Ability to lead and empower communications committee for successful campaign execution

Location:

  • Remote with flexibility to attend strategic meetings held at our office in the Q Center in Portland OR
  • Must live or work for a company in the state of Oregon or SW Washington.

Term Commitment

12 months 

Time Commitment:

12-15 hours average a month, volunteer

Supervisory Responsibility 

This position reports to the ORPIB Board Secretary. Members of the communications committee report to them.
